August 28 Kids partied at Pioneer Park: entertainment included Baltimore, a Rap and Pop and Lock dancer from the Twin Cities, local musicians, and a store window scavenger hunt.

August 22 Jess Lourey signed copies of her new book, September Fair.

August 15 Kirsten Jacobson Stasney signed Thy Father's Will.

July 27 Lauraine Snelling Beagle Books and Sister Wolf Books hosted a brunch at Dorset House.

July 18 Leif Enger and Deb Lund Leif Enger and children's author Deb Lund signed their books and visited with readers and bookstore "beagles."

July 11 Deanna Germain, author of Reaching Past the Wire: A Nurse at Abu Ghraib signed copies of her books.

July 4 Annual Pie-Baking Contest and Pie Auction at Beagle Books This year's fund-raiser for the Park Rapids Public Library, co-sponsored by Beagle Books and the Friends of the Library, raised over $900! Cathy Wurzer, MPR host of Morning Edition, visited us on May 16

Wurzer signed copies of her book, Tales of the Road: Highway 61. In this companion book to Public Television’s documentary, also called "Tales of the Road", Wurzer unearths stories about Highway 61, spotlighting famous and fascinating locations, many of them little remembered today.
